Makhad Railway Station is located in makhad village of Jand Tehsil of Attock district of Punjab. This Railway Station was built during the British government. Makhad Railway Station is a small and good Railway Station, surrounded by green grass and various types of trees, which this Railway station is wrapped in these trees.

Makhad is situated about 55 km southeast of Jand town in Attock district. On various ridges of Narrara hills are remains of prehistoric and historic times. Old Makhad was located about 25 km southwest of present-day Makhad. There are many prehistoric sites in and around it.
From a later era, Buddhist and Hindu Shahi sites are also found in the old Makhad area, reflecting how important the location was through history.
There are only a few rooms in the building at this railway station, including the station master and the ticket ghar, besides passenger rooms have also been built here, which are separate for men and women.
There are also many railway quarters near Makhad railway station, which were built for railway employees in the first round but now they are broken.
