Safdar Abad Railway Station

Safdar abad Railway Station is located in Safdar abad Tehsil, Sheikhupura District, Punjab Province, Pakistan. This railway station was built during  by the British rule. This railway station is located on the main line, this station is on the Shadra Bagh-Sangla branch line. This railway station is located between Lagwal Brai Halt Railway Station and Abdullahpur Kolar Railway Station. The height of Safdar abad Railway is about 666 feet above sea level.

This railway station was usually used by passengers going to Lahore and Faisalabad.
Safdar abad is located at a distance of about 95 km from the provincial capital Lahore. The old name of Safdar abad was Dhaban Singh, later Safdar abad was named after Mr. Safdar ul Haq Dogar, who was popularly known as “Chaba Dogar” and was a member of the Provincial Assembly, who was killed in front of the Punjab Assembly in Lahore in 1989. had gone . The then Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif came on a visit to this city and he renamed this city Safdar abad.
As Abdullahpur Kolar is a village of Sheikhupura, it is also known from the history of Sheikhupura. Sheikhupura is the 16th largest city in Pakistan by population. District Sheikhupura is the seat of Saddar and it is also an industrial hub, a satellite town. Sheikhupura is located about 38 km northwest of Lahore. The old name of Sheikhupura was Workgarh because there was a large number of Workjats living in this area. Politically and economically, the Viraks are still strong in the region. There are 132 villages in this area which belong to Viraks.

Safdar abad Railway Station is a busy railway station. This railway station is quite large, its building is constructed of stone bricks and painted white. Round dots have been made at the entrance of the building of Safdar abad Railway Station. Safdar abad is written in blue ink in Urdu and English on the front door of this railway station building and next to it there is a board with Kalma Tayyaba written on it. This railway station has a single platform and a shed has been built on it and wooden benches are placed below which are very beautiful. This railway station has two lines, one is the main line and the other is the loop line. An iron bridge has also been constructed at Safdar abad railway station to cross tracks and lines from one side of the station to the other. Many trains pass through this railway station but few stop at this station.
