Peshawar City Railway Station

Peshawar City Railway Station is located in Peshawar City, Peshawar District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. This railway station was built around 1890 during the British rule. Peshawar City Railway Station is located on the Karachi-Peshawar railway line. The height of this railway station is about 1114 feet above sea level. Peshawar City Railway Station is located between Nasirpur Railway Station and Peshawar Cantt Railway Station.

Peshawar is the 6th most populous city in Pakistan, with a population of over 2.3 million. It is located in the northwest of the country near the international border with Afghanistan. Located in the Peshawar Valley, a vast area east of the historic Khyber Pass, Peshawar’s recorded history dates back to at least 539 AD, making it one of the oldest cities in South Asia. Peshawar is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the country.

Peshawar City Railway Station is a busy and beautiful railway station. The building of this railway station is also constructed of stone bricks and is painted white inside and out. There are many rooms in this railway station building which include station master office, ticket office, waiting room, inquiry office, light warehouse and parcel warehouse etc. The light warehouse room in this railway station building contains many old lamps, lights, iron chains and old train equipments etc. Peshawar City is written in Urdu and English in black ink on the front side of this railway station building. This railway station also has a weighing fork which is used to weigh the luggage of the passengers and is of British era. Kalima Tayyaba is beautifully written in the front of the building of this railway station and in the center of the building. A bell has also been installed in the building of Peshawar City Railway Station, which is rung before the arrival of the train. A stand has been placed at this railway station. On which are hung red buckets filled with sand and water, which are used to extinguish the fire. In front of this railway station building, wooden, iron and cement benches are placed for the passengers. Gardens have been created on both sides of the building of Peshawar City Railway Station in which various types of flower plants, fruit plants of all kinds and shade trees have been planted and beds have been made around them and they have been painted white. In some places lush grass was also planted which adds a lot of beauty.

A garden has been made at this railway station. A seating area has been created next to the garden of this railway station where small beautifully designed sheds have been built with the best types of benches.
This railway station also has a very good water management and a tank has also been built and along with it water is moved back and forth through pipes and plants are also planted. This railway station also has an iron bridge which is used to cross the lines. Peshawar City Railway Station has a single platform and a spur shed has been constructed and many benches have been placed under this shed and fans have also been installed around it for the comfort of the passengers.

Garbage bins are placed on both sides of the platform of this railway station. There are many trees around this railway station, including huge banyan trees. Along with the main building of this railway station, there is another building which is the parcel warehouse where the goods sent by people from one city to another city are kept. There is also a small mosque at this railway station. Peshawar City Railway Station has many lines, one of which is the main line and the other is the loop line. There is a lot of population around this railway station and this railway station is located on Dalazak Road. Many trains pass through Peshawar City Railway Station and many stop at this station.
